At Second Shot, we strive to ensure a positive experience for both buyers and sellers. This Return and Refund Policy explains the conditions under which returns and refunds are accepted and the process for initiating them.
1. Eligibility for Returns
Returns may be requested under the following conditions:
- Significantly Not as Described: The item does not match the description or photos in the listing.
- Damaged in Transit: The item arrives damaged due to shipping mishandling.
- Defective Items: The item does not function as described, excluding wear and tear typical of used equipment.
Items purchased as “final sale” or “as-is” may not be eligible for return unless they are significantly not as described.
2. Timeframe for Returns
- Buyers must initiate a return request within 72 hours of receiving the item.
- If approved for return, items must be shipped back to the seller within 3 days.
- Second Shot will provide a return shipping label and withhold the shipping cost from the buyers refund.
3. Return Process
- Initiating a Return:
- Buyers must submit a return request to the seller through their Second Shot account, providing detailed reasons and supporting evidence (e.g., photos of the item).
- Approval or Rejection:
- The seller has 2 business days to review and respond to the return request. If unresolved, Second Shot may mediate.
- Shipping the Item:
- Approved returns must be securely packaged and shipped using a trackable shipping method.
- Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.
4. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are issued in the following cases:
- The return request is approved, and the seller receives the returned item in the same condition it was shipped.
- The item is confirmed as lost or undeliverable.
- Second Shot determines that the item was significantly not as described, and a return is unnecessary.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 10 business days to process.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Items clearly listed as “as-is” or “final sale.”
- Items with significant alterations, damage, or use after receipt by the buyer.
- Items where return requests are made outside the eligible timeframe.
6. Dispute Resolution
If buyers and sellers cannot agree on a return or refund, Second Shot will review the case. Both parties must provide supporting evidence, and Second Shot’s decision will be final.
7. Seller Obligations
- Sellers must honor approved return requests in accordance with this policy.
- Sellers who fail to comply with return obligations may face account penalties.
8. Limitations of Liability
Second Shot acts as a neutral platform and is not responsible for item quality, authenticity, or condition beyond facilitating returns and refunds.

- Shipping Costs: Sellers are responsible for paying shipping fees unless otherwise stated in the listing. Shipping fees are determined and withheld from Seller payouts.
- Shipping Responsibility: Sellers are responsible for securely packaging and shipping items to buyers.
- Shipping Timeline: Items must be shipped within 72 hours of order confirmation. Delays must be communicated to the buyer through the platform.
- Tracking Information: Sellers must provide accurate tracking details via the platform upon shipment.
- Packaging Standards: Items should be appropriately packed to prevent damage during transit. Use padding, sturdy boxes, and proper sealing materials.
2. For Buyers
- Delivery Address: Ensure your shipping address is accurate. Second Shot is notresponsible for items lost or delayed due to incorrect addresses provided by the buyer.
- Receiving Items: Inspect your item upon receipt and report any issues (e.g., damage or inaccuracies) within 72 hours through the platform.
3. Shipping Methods
- Sellers must use a reliable shipping service that offers tracking and delivery confirmation.
- Expedited or alternative shipping options may be offered at the buyer’s expense.
4. Lost or Damaged Shipments
- Lost Items: If an item is lost in transit, sellers should work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue. Buyers should contact Second Shot if assistance is required.
- Damaged Items: If an item arrives damaged, buyers must provide photographic evidence and initiate a claim through the platform. Second Shot may mediate to determine responsibility and resolve the issue.
5. International Shipping
- Customs and Duties: Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees associated with international shipments.
- Restricted Countries: Sellers should verify shipping eligibility for international destinations before listing items.
6. Dispute Resolution
In cases of shipping disputes (e.g., undelivered items, damaged goods):
- Both parties must provide supporting documentation (e.g., proof of shipping, photos of packaging).
- Second Shot will mediate and determine the appropriate resolution.
7. Shipping Policy Violations
- Sellers who fail to meet shipping standards may face penalties, including suspension, removal of their selling privileges, and or withheld funds.
- Buyers who falsely claim shipping issues may also face account penalties.
8. Modifications to Shipping Policy
Second Shot reserves the right to update this Shipping Policy. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notifications. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of updated terms.
